Data governance and management at TD is part of an enterprise-wide data and analytics ecosystem. Adaptability is key. You may be part of the data and analytics professional community managing data assets aligned to TD's overarching policies or strategies, or you may find yourself directly immersed in various lines of business. Data stewardship at TD spans the enterprise and welcomes experts like you to help drive our business forward while protecting the interests of our organization, customers and shareholders.

Under the supervision of the Manager, Data Governance. This position is focused on business analysis, data lineage and data management.

Maintain TDI General Insurance (GI) information flow blueprints which show data flow for each TDI department into the TDI GI Data Warehouse
-
Work with business stakeholders from various TDI departments to assess their business-as-usual activities, document any impact on the data flow and lineage.

Work closely with the Reporting Center of Excellence and Projects team to stay abreast on upcoming projects and their potential impact on data lineage
-
Lead the Committees to present upcoming functional changes in data flow to Lead Data steward and other senior stakeholders.

Work with access management team to manage the access privileges of users into the data warehouse.

Work with the technology team to ensure only the right users have access to the Data Warehouse

Participate in EDGO (Enterprise Data Governance Office) training and socialization session; represent the TDI data governance team.

Capture data access and data lineage evidence to support audit requirements
-
Support and contribute to data governance projects and initiatives.

Business analysis accreditation considered an asset
-
Project coordination experience considered an asset

Job Requirements:

-
Bachelor's degree or Certificate degree in computer science, data management or in any other related field.
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis or business intelligence.
-
Experience in information management and data governance.
-
Interest and curiosity to learn data management and governance best practices
-
Must have analytical skills and possess a critical faculty and an ability to synthesize information (written and oral).
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills must be comfortable to lead meetings and present to stakeholders. Spoken/written French is a strong asset.

A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
-
Knowledge of SAS, Big data, ML language, Cognos, SQL, Windows and Unix operating system would be strong asset.
-
Proficient in Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and any other reporting analysis, and collaboration Tools (Jira, Confluence).
