About the Role


Reporting to the Development Manager, the Animation Development Intern will help support in the day-to-day operations of the Development team.

To qualify for this position you must be a post-secondary student enrolled in an accredited educational institution.


Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager of Development with reviewing, tracking and providing clear communication and feedback on the diverse slate of original IP and partnership opportunities that come into WildBrain for consideration
  • Create competitive sets (overview of shows in a similar space) for shows on the development slate
  • Research new industry talent such as writers, directors, and producers
  • Maintain and monitor submissions trackers and reading assignments
  • Manage storage of submissions and samples
  • Prepare agendas, decks and presentations for internal meetings
  • Liaise and coordinate with Executive Assistants and coordinators across the development, distribution, channel and sales teams
  • Schedule meetings, as needed, for the development team

Qualifications

  • Passion for animation and kids' television, with a desire to develop a career within the industry
  • Ability to excel in a high pressure, deadlineoriented environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Must be a self starter who takes initiative
