    Role and Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES :

    The Tool Control Assistant will report to the Logistics Group Lead and assist the Tool Control Coordinator (TCC).

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Mounting tools into their respective toolboxes, making cut outs in all the drawers to house the tools.
    • Engraving tools as per tool control purposes. Assisting the development of a database to control the inventory.
    • Working in tool Vidmar cabinets, to identify all consumable tools. IE. Stocking of drill bits and reamers etc.
    • Assist TCC in carrying out inspections of our existing toolboxes/boards and making improvements to them.
    • Follow the Flight & General Safety policies in accordance with local plans;
    • Be in compliance with all aspects of the established quality system within the NFTC program;
    • Assure the security of documents, equipment and material as they relate to corporate propriety.
    • Other duties as assigned by Fleet Supervisor

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

    Education and Experience

    • Proof of registration in a post-secondary educational institution in the fall semester 2024.

    Other Required Training or Skills

    • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
    • Ability to manage several tasks at once and set priorities, willing and able to work in a constantly changing environment
    • Ability to recognize opportunities and suggest ideas to Project manager and customers as needed.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.
    • Experience in JIRA will be considered an asset.

    Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations
