    Purpose of the Position

    Grow Equiton Capital's presence with National Head Office relationships – our aim is to be available on more platforms and build Equiton's advisor relationship footprint, brand and leadership position within the private equity real estate space. We are seeking a difference-maker who will be instrumental in establishing a standardized on-boarding and service approach for these relationships. The SVP, National & Strategic Accounts key mandate is to develop opportunities to introduce Equiton solutions to Banking and other National Dealer Relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Success in Equiton Solutions added to large-scale Dealer platforms, recommended lists & solutions
    • Grow Equiton Assets Under Management with targeted Dealers
    • Ongoing Service of Key National relationships
    • Ability to interact effectively with both the external customer and the internal organization
    • Maintain relationships with head offices of key distribution channels and selected third party relationships
    • Actively discover, review and manage the needs of the head offices in order to contribute solutions to their success on an ongoing basis
    • Maintain a high level of investment market awareness
    • Participate in industry and dealer forums and conferences to keep apprised of all industry trends, competitive insights, products and services
    • Partner with leadership to assist in National sales strategy
    • Promotion of Equiton solutions at distribution partner events
    • Understanding of ESG considerations linked to private equity real estate investing
    • Help develop and coordinate the implementation of Equiton's sales plans in the National Accounts channel
    • Thorough understanding of competitor landscape/activities, identify threats and opportunities
    • Training & education directed to advisor practice management in support of Dealer initiatives

    The Candidate

    Experience and Professional Qualifications

    • 15 years + experience in wealth and/or asset management industry
    • Proven experience in business development, fundraising, or capital raising within the real estate and/or investment management industry, with a focus on bank-owned brokerages, large and small non-bank owned brokerages, independent discretionary portfolio management firms, mutual fund and large exempt market dealer firms.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the real estate investment management industry.
    • Deep subject matter expertise within the investment management industry.
    • Bachelor's in Business or Commerce
    • CFA, MBA would be an asset

    • Highly developed planning skills - support development of sales plans for the assigned market/channels
    • Influence and Negotiation techniques and the ability to gain commitment and support for desired objectives
    • Strong networking skills
    • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial team environment.
    • Excellent business acumen and self-starter
    • Strong knowledge of Responsible Investment & ESG landscape
    • Self-starter, time management and ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Proven track record of executing sales strategies to grow market share
