Description

The Position:


  • The marketing specialist is an entry level animal health marketing position ideal for a highly motivated individual looking to develop and expand their skills under the mentorship of the brand/marketing manager.
  • They will contribute to the development of effective brand strategies and tactics to ensure the achievement of market share, sales and profitability targets in the equine & avian business units. At the same time, they will coordinate and provide a high standard of administrative support for marketing and sales teams to help achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the development & execution of strategic marketing activation plans, campaign assets and content for utilization by sales team and direct to customer channels.
  • Produce market reports and competitor analysis to inform & influence marketing activities that address customer insights.
  • Contribute to the production of accurate and timely forecasts & budgets in consultation with the brand/management team on established products/brands. Ensure stock and financial forecasts are continually and accurately produced.
  • Monitor and manage marketing materials printing, inventory monitoring, collateral and accessory equipment/parts.
  • Facilitate the organization of and logistics coordination for internal and external meetings, conferences and trade shows. Manage financial process flow for Direct Promotional spend including creating purchase orders, processing invoice payments, tracking spend to budget & coordination of monthly accrual process.
This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is
flexible .

Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department.


Requirements:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a similar role (minimum 12 months)
  • Business/financial acumen and ability to synthesize information into customer insights.
  • Selfstarter, results oriented, ability to work independently with multiple priorities, in a fastpaced regulated environment.
  • Experience in administrative duties, preferably within a marketing environment, high level of proficiency with MS office including excel and PowerPoint. Team player, agile, organized, strong attention to detail with exceptional planning and time management skills.
