**Who you are: We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results Geotab is seeking a Sales Manager who will coach, mentor and lead the team focused on growing sales and will work in conjunction with senior leadership to execute on the growth strategy for the assigned market.

**What you'll do: This position will work cross functionally with all departments to ensure alignment and execution to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.


How you'll make an impact:


  • Deliver the mutually agreed upon forecasted revenue by group and by partner
  • Hire, train and lead a team of Partner Account Managers/Regional Sales people to build and leverage relationships to expand the Geotab brand and deliver sales results.
  • Support the sales team to drive Geotab's revenue:
  • Coach the team to identify and support the assigned Partners win and grow business, and implement Geotab solutions.
  • Train and develop the team to ensure they engage their Partners on Geotab solutions via: inperson meetings, lunchandlearn opportunities, webinars and participation in customer calls and appointments.
  • Ensure the team leverages the Partner network and represents Geotab solutions through a variety of means including: coldcalling, social and direct networking, existing relationships and setting appointments.
  • Create mind share by consistent and effective communication on the industry and Geotab specific news, events and happenings. Ensure this is filtered to Partners and customers.
  • Create, evaluate, and implement strategic business plans for the growth and development of opportunities.
  • Devise and deploy all sales goals and objectives including the preparation of sales targets and budgets.
  • Monitor weekly activity and funnel growth to ensure team engagement.
  • Ensure the team is forecasting accurately and that opportunities are being entered into Salesforce in a timely manner.
  • Provide expert project leadership and guidance to team as SME.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports:
  • Provide direction, coaching and mentorship to the team.
  • Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate and support employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of all Geotab products, marketplace products, and industry trends that impact assigned vertical.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to build company credibility, brand presence and identify potential new business opportunities.
  • Promote and raise the profile of the Geotab solution offering, ensuring that the company achieves positive brand equity and captures market/mind share.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and provide feedback and direction to Marketing and senior leadership within Geotab.
  • Provide input on new business opportunities, competitive analysis, market trends, and business environment.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop short and long term strategic plans.
  • Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.

What you'll bring to this role:

  • 5-8 years experience as an individual contributor in a sales function.
  • 2+ years leadership experience in a teamoriented workplace.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specializing in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Success with coaching and development of employees.
  • Experience in the telematics industry.
  • Experience in technical sales.
  • Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
  • Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts.
  • Able to anticipate and understand customer's needs and provide viable solutions.
  • Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in accurately forecasting account and volume activities, meeting and exceeding goals.
