Heart Lake Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking an experienced full time Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team in Brampton, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during consultations, procedures, surgery and dentistry
• Animal care, monitoring, handling and restraint
• Client care and communication including answering the phone
• Performing inhouse laboratory tests
• Sterilizing equipment and regularly cleaning examination areas, kennels, general housekeeping duties
• Invoicing and billing, creating and explaining estimates with confidence, obtaining pet owner consent and collecting payments
• Have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as well as lift 20 kg

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift (8am 5pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
• Evening shift (10am 7pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
• Closed on weekends
