About the Role


The Clinical Support Specialist, Specialty Nursing Services, working closely with the National Development and Clinical Practice Manager, Specialty Nursing Services is responsible for supporting the clinical practices of the division which includes the development/updating, deployment and communication of clinical education for our national team of Specialty Pharma Nurses, and acting as a clinical support for our Specialty Pharma Scheduling Team.


A Day in the Life

  • Develop, improve and adapt various curriculums based upon educational and business needs;
  • Provide real time clinical support to members of the Specialty Pharma Scheduling team;
  • Assist with the development of evidenced based clinical programs for implementation within the Specialty Nursing Services Network;
  • Work closely with the National Development and Clinical Practice Manager, Specialty Nursing Service to ensure all clinical practices meet best practice standards and are implemented with the nursing team as appropriate;
  • Actively follows clinical research trends regarding new treatments for key disease states in areas of oncology, rheumatology and MS;
  • Completes other tasks as required by the National Development and Clinical Practice Manager, Specialty Nursing Service.
Job Qualification


What You Bring to the Team

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with a recognized degree or diploma
  • Must be in good standing with their provincial college
  • Experience working with clinical teams to develop and implement patient and family centered models of care
  • Strong oral and written skills;
  • Solid understanding of foundational nursing knowledge in acute and community health care;
  • Ability to prioritize when faced with multiple challenges;
  • Able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
