Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and close dishwashing station on a daily basis.
  • Clean tools and equipments on a daily basis.
  • Help FOH to clean the plates and cutleries.
  • Report and follow the instructions of the Executive and/or Sous chef.
  • Ensure station is always clean.
  • Make sure to document all the chemicals need for the machine.
  • Take care of the disposal program in the kitchen.

Skills/Requirements

  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Must have a willingness to learn something new.

Physical Demands

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by restaurant environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (18°C) and kitchens (40°C), possibly for one hour or more.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
  • Ability to physically carry and lift tools or equipments from shelves and otherwise transport up to 50 pounds to every area of the kitchen.

Education

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Culinary or Apprenticeship Program preferred.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
