Your Opportunity:


This Care Manager (CM) position reports to the Program Manager of the Children, Youth, and Families (CYF), Community Addiction and Mental Health Services portfolio.

The successful individual will provide direct clinical oversight for the day-to-day operations to the youth addictions community-based services, the Mobile Addiction Team, the Learning & Development clinic, and the Trauma Treatment Service.

The CM will ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and high-quality services to children, youth and families presenting with addiction and mental health concerns.

The CM will bring an inquisitive, respectful, and accountable approach to the role, supporting the growth and development of staff and services through a quality improvement mindset.

The CM will maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners across the continuum of care. The CM will engage in ongoing program evaluation, monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of services and staff well-being.

The CM is expected to be aware of program expenditures and will have the signing authority required to facilitate daily operations.

The CM will engage in a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, staffing, performance management, and coordinating training, and will provide supportive and effective leadership to team members within the portfolio.

A working knowledge of the Collective Agreements is required. The CM works closely with the portfolio Clinical Supervisor and the Program Manager.

This position works out of the East Edmonton Health Centre Cromdale building, as well as the Nexus Business Park location, and is required to travel between team sites within Edmonton throughout the week.

The position is Monday to Friday days; however, a flexible work arrangement may be negotiated. This position works as part of the broader CYF Community Addiction and Mental Health portfolio.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in occupational therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with considerable experience in mental health assessment and intervention. An equivalent level of education and experience will be considered.

Registration in a professional regulatory body in Alberta as defined by the Health Professions Act (CARNA, CRPNA, ACOT, CAP, ACSW).

A minimum of 3 years of front-line experience with demonstrated informal leadership competencies (i.e., leadership training or education, participation on committees/projects, leading peers, consulting to management, conducting
