Job Summary
What will you do?
- Execute day to day activities within Canadian Tax Operations Team for RBC Wealth Management Canada while working closely with various tax teams to ensure complete and accurate tax slips generation, client mailings, and filing with relevant tax authorities (CRA/MRQ) to meet the regulatory deadlines.
- Support tax teams, perform data validations on various tax reports, escalate any issues as appropriate, and document and address in timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve client and branch questions.
- Adhere to regulatory tax reporting requirements.
- Maintain desk operating procedural manuals review and update as required.
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiencies and reduce operational risk using automated and semiautomated processes.
- Perform various adhoc duties and assist with management of multiple project tasks in the department.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- University degree/diploma, and/or 3+ years of experience in Canadian tax or securities and banking industry.
- Proficiency in Canadian tax reporting guidelines mandated by CRA/MRQ tax authorities.
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products primarily Excel and MS Access.
- Solid Risk Management and mitigation focus mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multitask and work with various competing priorities and timelines.
Nice to Have
- Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
- Knowledge of RBC Wealth Management systems (Broadridge/On Demand/Client Source).
- Knowledge of TFSA
- Tax Free Savings Accounts.
- Knowledge of Non-Qualified Investments.
- Experience in Vendor relationship management.
