About the Role:

Massiv Die-Form is looking to add a Program Manager to our Outsource Tooling Team. The Outsource Program Manager is responsible for project planning, ensuring the project runs as per the customer master timelines.

The PM oversees and manages engineering changes and ensures that accurate information is communicated clearly and available to the specific stakeholders when needed.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Ensure APQP is followed and maintained on a weekly basis and available for review with management at any time.
  • Responsible for project planning, ensuring project runs as per customer master time lines, oversees and manages engineering changes and ensures that accurate information is communicated clearly and available to the specific departments when needed.
  • Ensure that all program Milestones and Key Dates is communicated well in advance to all internal groups.
  • Ensure that the program is run with in a Budget and needs to communicate with finance to ensure that the budget is managed properly, all program expenses to be managed and documented with cost saving in mind, an update needs to me available at any time to Management.
- "Cradle to Grave" program support is expected including Home Line commissioning continuous and effective communication with Customer is expected, in an effort to ensure Press Time is scheduled efficiently to support Program Master Time Line.

  • Ensure all sign off's are officially received from customer, including internal and external designs and exit strategy from the Customers facility is professional and successful.
  • Responsible to prepare and/or update various reports including but not limited to Schedules / Time Line's, FMEA, BOM, Buy Off, Feasibility, Project Status, budgets, part tolerance/process evaluations, etc.
  • Responsible to provide technical advice and assistance for the completion of draw developments, FEA simulations, quotation studies, hard tool/soft tool checks, etc.
  • Receive data Catia, Unigraphics, Smirt (Customer Supplied Format)
  • Monitor developments/simulations for timing and engineering knowledge
  • Develop costing sheets and quotes
  • Finalize process and quotes for customer submission
  • Create and monitor financial budgets for all new tools awarded
  • Develop detailed program management plan and supporting documentation to ensure successful launch of tooling and assembly related changes (match/metal)
  • Coordinate and liaise with engineering group, program management and plant management to ensure: Part delivery dates, Tool buy offs, deliveries, commissioning & supporting documentation, Is completed within the specified program timeline and also to the expected customer quality level
  • Check fixtures are received and at the correct level for all sources
  • Engineering changes are released in a timely manner and within program schedules
  • Supporting documentation for all approvals is officially received in a timely manner
  • Regular travel local and/or international, overtime as approved for smooth running of build program, office and plant environment
  • Excellent communication skillsverbal/written for internal/external/electronic
  • Ability to lead teams without direct authority and facilitate meetings,
  • Overtime as required
  • Day and/or overnight travel is required.
  • Day Shift with flexibility on hours based on customer requirements

Who we are looking for:


  • Strong tooling build background, preferably a licensed toolmaker

Your preferred qualifications:


  • Postsecondary training tooling or engineering with minimum 10 yrs relevant work experience in die build manufacturing and program management
  • Finance basics understanding of basic financial reports, understands cost impacts at business level, VAVE
  • Quotation, Customer Focus, Design Planning Procedures (QOS), or any other ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 training as prescribed through the QEMS (see matrixes)
  • Basic Catia, Unigraphics, SMIRT able to read and understand
  • Use of Webex, Conference Calling, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, GD&T, knowledgeable in any other customer specific buyoff requirements (e.g. Chrysler PSO), FLD & Simulation Training
