This is a leadership as well as advisory position responsible for developing and empowering a proactive sales and service team who engage members and are results driven.

This includes coaching and mentoring branch employees to achieve their objectives, enhance their product knowledge, build confidence in improving our member's financial well-being and model that behaviour in their own advisory interactions by providing a superior member experience.

This position also builds relationships within the branch's community, fosters business development, and assists the branch in achieving growth objectives.


This role is responsible for:


Advisory:

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of First Credit Union products and services, including continual development to be aware of changes in the industry.
  • Exhibit a high commitment to memberclient relationships by promoting the concept of relationship building; crosssell all First Credit Union products and services and refer members to other departments when appropriate.
  • Analyze member needs and build relationships through member onboarding. This includes supporting members to achieve their financial goals with the use of the Financial Blueprint.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by working efficiently and professionally and in a friendly manner.
  • Resolving member issues to their overall satisfaction.
  • Perform a variety of duties relating to the promotion, sale and administration of account, deposit, and loan products and services offered by First Credit Union.

Leadership:

  • Provide a handson approach to executing the First Credit Union business plan and branch major initiatives by setting targets for employees, contributing to planning sessions, and developing and supporting strategies to achieve First Credit Unions long term goals and objectives.
  • Monitor branch operations to support efficiency and adherence to processes and procedures as well as monthly targets. Identify opportunities for growth around member experience, employee development and overall efficiencies. Review and analyze branch reports as required while submitting monthly reports as needed.
  • Promote an allinclusive team environment that results in engaged and invested employees who contribute to a high branch morale.
  • Perform ongoing coaching sessions with employees encompassing all areas of employee growth and development that will contribute to an outstanding and lasting member experience being delivered.
  • Ensure that employees are oriented and trained, and that skills are maintained and upgraded as technology, products and services change; coordinate training sessions for employees through in house resources and external contacts where possible.
  • Provide direction in all areas of member service functions including balancing, security procedures and product information.
  • Assist with supporting the staffing requirements for the branch—hiring, onboarding, training, supervising, measuring performance, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to support campaigns, marketing initiatives and new product and services.
  • Identify and capitalize on potential growth opportunities both in the short and long term.
  • Participate in special projects, committees, implementation teams and other related assignments required for operational, crossdepartmental, or corporate initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years experience in the financial, sales or service industry.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is considered an asset.
  • Successful completion of CUIC 240 Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning course.
  • Successful completion of CUIC 210 Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending course.
  • Successful completion of eLearning Introduction to Business Financial Statements Analysis.
  • Successful completion of CUIC 34
  • Business Lending (recommended).
  • Superior knowledge of First Credit Union products and services.
  • Accountability for both personal and branchassigned growth, goals and targets.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
