Assist in pursuing and identifying new opportunities for the company through market research, unsolicited proposals, and partnerships with market players
Lead/Support pre-construction "construction advisory" projects while providing construction specific expertise to the pre-development phase of Civil and Transportation Projects
Lead/Support the development of Design-Build and Alternative Delivery RFQs and RFPs including the development of bid schedules, commercial management, design development, client, and stakeholders 'interface, and other technical and construction related aspects of a project
Analyze and scope project RFQ/RFP requirements, lead a team of designers and construction professionals to develop a competitive and compliant RFQ/RFP response and develop client and senior management submissions including design/technical presentations and commercial meetings for the RFQ/RFP period
Liaise with project estimators to develop work breakdown structures and participate in subcontractors' engagement and bid reviews, capital development, marketing, legal and facility management as required
Ensure high standard and competitive commercial/design solutions and strategies are developed and optimized in accordance with the RFP instructions; focused on winning the pursuit
Assist in the project handover process and if desired, participate in the execution "Construction" phase of the project
Play a strategic partnership role - working collaboratively in a team environment, in conjunction with various disciplines and stakeholders internally and externally
Use commercial knowledge to assess contract risk and to facilitate execution of partnership agreements.
Is this the right role for you?
You have a construction related degree/diploma and at least 8 to 10 years of Design-Build Management,
Pursuits, Construction Execution or Design experience with civil infrastructure projects or an equivalent
combination of technical training and experience working on civil projects
You have working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, design development, municipal approvals, scheduling, project management
You have the ability to confidently mentor a team while developing and maintaining strong client relations
