Job Summary:


The Shipper/ Receiver is responsible for helping ensure that all of the out-going packages are shipped on time, as per GDCAMS service level agreements ( SLAs).

The Shipper is also responsible for maintaining the quality of work, and adhering to GDCAMS corporate security policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide quick and reliable service for internal and external customer's
  • Work in accordance to GDCAMS procedures and policies
  • Perform all data entry using Scancode
  • Escalate any business or safety concerns to Leadhand / Supervisor when required
  • Adhere to all GDCAMS Security policies and procedures
  • Perform outgoing shipments / quality inspections as per ISO Shipping procedures
  • Load and Unload transport trucks
  • Perform daily Safety / Equipment inspections, such as Forklifts, Power Walkies
  • Keep shipping area and work stations clean general house keeping
  • Provide idea's/suggestion to Supervsior or Leadhand for process improvement opportunities
  • Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Leadhand, and or Supervisor that may not be listed above

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements:


  • High School Diploma would be asset or 1 year equivalent work experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize with good attention to detail
  • Scancode processing knowledge and experience would be an asset
  • Forklift certification / license would be an asset
  • Overtime and Shift work may be required

Physical Requirements:


  • Able to lift upto 50 lbs
  • Able to work on feet for long periods at a time
