Our Team:


The Clarabelle Mill Maintenance Planning team in Sudbury, Ontario is a multi-disciplinary, well-rounded team who are responsible for maintenance planning of conditional, corrective, and emergency work at Clarabelle Mill, Central Tailings, and Water Plants.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our operators and maintainers as well as ensuring our assets run reliably.


The Opportunity:


We are currently seeking a
Supervisor, Maintenance (PS) in an
Electrical Planner's role to join our
Ontario Operations Department (Clarabelle Mill) in
Sudbury, Ontario.


In this role, you will be accountable for electrical maintenance planning within the Clarabelle Mill, Central Tailings, and Water Plants areas and provide timely and accurate electrical planning of requested work in concert with the requirements of both operating and maintenance functions.

You will continuously improve crew performance through the effective use of established processes and procedures, as well as providing relief supervision as required.


Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Work Monday to Friday, 8 hours day shift.
  • Assemble ready to execute job packages that include resource requirements for execution prior to the date required for the work to be completed.
  • Review the status of work orders daily to manage the backlog and prioritize planning activities within area of responsibility.
  • Encourage and incorporate crew input into job packages for work execution.
  • Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning and execution of work orders to meet completion deadlines.
  • Improve the efficiency of the planning process by developing and using standard jobs and bills of materials as templates.
  • Ensure that all work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.

About You

Education:


  • Journeyperson Electrician Class H Qualification and/or Journeyperson Electrician Red Seal.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field.
  • Generic Supervisor Common Core

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance supervision, maintenance planning, or a closely related discipline in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with a computerized maintenance management system (e.g. SAP).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical trade.

Skills:


  • Familiar with and understands Asset Management concepts and systems.
  • Familiar with and understands regulations for mining, construction, and OSHE.
  • Ability to schedule, prioritize and manage tasks with mínimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Ability to read prints and schematics.
  • Strong computer skills (SAP, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be obsessed with safety and risk and demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
