About this Opportunity:

Business Systems Analysts within the Information Technology team are the catalysts for transformation and strategic advantage in Just Energy.

As part of a resource pool for all functional areas of the company, the analyst gains exposure to varied aspects of this cutting-edge energy retail business, opening doors to an array of growth-oriented roles in the company.

Your key accountabilities:

Partner with operational groups to design (or redesign), optimize processes, and implement new business processes and systems to improve Just Energy's operations.
Work with business stakeholders and external partners to analyze business challenges, design practical and attainable solutions.
Document business, functional, and technical requirements for implementing solutions to support business strategies.
Develop, maintain, and strengthen effective relationships with business stakeholders. Engage with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize changes and projects to align IT priorities with business objectives.
Remain flexible with multiple shifting priorities and effectively function under deadlines with mínimal supervision.
Manage projects and changes as assigned throughout the SDLC; from inception to rollout. Remove obstacles, Inform and enable project teams for successful implementation.
Work with IT implementation teams to ensure that tools or software packages are implemented according to specification and function correctly before they are released to production. Follow up on delivery, review and report results after rollout.
Provide input and take actions to resolve escalated production issues. Take steps to minimize future issues.
Create tools in various platforms (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) to help manage the daytoday responsibilities or create reports for various functional areas.

Your background includes:

Undergraduate degree preferably of a technical or engineering orientation.
Minimum 24 years of experience in business systems analysis or a similar technical role.
Working experience with CRM and Billing Systems is an asset.
Proven effectiveness at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities, meeting tight deadlines and working well under pressure.
Ability to actively listen, visualize and brainstorm with customers to create optimal solutions to complex business problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with experience writing business requirements, user stories and use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
Knowledge of Project Management principles and software development life cycle is a must.
Selfstarter, resultsoriented and motivated with excellent analytical and technical skills.
Experience as part of an Agile Team (in a distributed setting in multiple geographic locations) with demonstrated understanding of the Agile mindset would be a desired skill.
