Tourist Information Team Lead

City of Langford:

As our Tourist Information Team Lead, you will support our tourism department this summer to help manage our Mobile Information Centre van and oversee our Tourist Information Officers as they inform both tourists and Langford residents on local tourism experiences, including attractions, parks, trails, hotels and restaurants.

This is a great opportunity to get outside and interact with the public in a safe way

In this position, you will:

Oversee and provide training, direction, and support to Information Centre staff
Coordinate the Mobile Information Centre van schedule and activation locations
Engage with local businesses and other relevant stakeholders
Host outreach booths at the City of Langford Mobile Information Centre van
Collect statistics, write reports, and maintain cleanliness of the mobile information centre van
Distribute travel literature and assist tourists with directions, maps, and answering their questions
Other related duties as required

Further qualifications include:

A valid BC driver's license and a satisfactory criminal record check
15 years of age or older
Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee
