Bilingual (French/English) Administrative Assistant
McLarens Canada Inc.

(formerly MGB Claims Consultants Inc.) an insurance adjusting firm, is seeking a Bilingual Administrative Assistant for our Montreal office in St.

Lambert, QC (about 7 km from downtown Montreal).

This is a hybrid position working Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Typing verbatim transcripts of reports and letters
  • Completing and checking the accuracy transcript elements by comparing them with source documents
  • Formats reports according to established guidelines (i.e., preferences in formatting, spelling, capitalization etc.)
  • Holding all thirdparty (client) information in the strictest confidentiality
  • Meeting expected production targets
  • Reviewing completed work to identify potential areas of selfimprovement
  • Reviewing and issuing approved work, including report exhibits and letter enclosures, according to established guidelines
  • Ad hoc

Skills & Qualifications:


  • High proficiency in French
  • Transcription/Dictation experience is a must
  • 60 + WPM
  • Advanced Word skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of AdobePro are a plus
  • Minimum four (4) years' experience working in an office environment
  • Strong attention to detail and superior word processing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills
  • Ability to reach and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Resourceful and proactive
