Description

NewRoads Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC, a division of the NewRoads Automotive Group is hiring a
Service Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy service centre.


Responsibilities of a Service Manager include:

  • Overseeing and managing the Service Department operations and scheduling to ensure that servicing and repairs are completed as quickly as possible
  • Coaching and mentoring service department staff;
  • Scheduling to ensure that servicing and repairs are completed as quickly as possible
  • Supervising technicians' performance and arranging training programs to keep the team's skills up to date;
  • Managing quality assurance maintaining the quality of all service activities to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction;
  • Addressing customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous, professional manner;
  • Monitoring departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made and that corrective action is taken if necessary;
  • Enhancing service systems to meet the goals of the department (ie. warranty);
  • Monitoring financial performance to ensure the department is meeting or exceeding budgetary commitments;
  • Analyzing and reporting on the department's daily, monthly, and annual key performance indicators and industry trends;
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are met and followed;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop;
  • Ensuring the completion of shop maintenance and repair work;
  • Performing other duties as required.

  • Valid G driver's license;
  • Clean drivers abstract;
  • PBS experience an asset
