Role overview:


we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Production Planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules for all our facilities in USA and Canada.

The production planner's responsibilities include understanding production forecasts, monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates, and facilitating on-time shipping to customers.


As the Production Planner you must be able to closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget.

You will develop daily, weekly, monthly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. Determine material, equipment, and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.

For this role, you must be knowledgeable of MRP (material requirements planning) and able to manage production deadlines.

We will also require you to demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluating production orders to create suitable production schedules.
  • Coordinating production operations based on customer priority in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
  • Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes current and forecasted customer orders regarding available inventory of loose goods and packaging components.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to develop production schedules that best support customer requirements.
  • Ability to revise and distribute production schedule as needed while effectively communicating the updates to the team.
  • Tracks schedule attainment as a key metric, communicates results.
  • Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels.
  • Monitor loosegoods and components flow, identify and communicate shortages or bottlenecks.
  • Identify and communicate and/or resolve problems relating to inventory.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience working as a production planner.
  • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Pay:
$60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Experience:
