$1500 Sign-on Bonus:

What will you do?


In this role, you will be trained to operate manual machines including Lathes, gang drills, pull broach radial drills, Mitts & Merrill key seater, and heat treat.


  • Operate gang drills putting set screws into parts
  • Operate hydraulic key seater to install keyways
  • Operate radial drill to drill holes into large steel parts
  • Operate Mitts & Merrill key seater to machine keyways into sprockets, gears, couplings, etc.
  • Heat treat steel parts
  • Operate Manual engine lathes
  • Reading and Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, or study sample parts for machining steps to be performed and plans process
  • Measure examine, and test completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using inspection instruments
  • Ensure the quality of parts produced meets the specified print and standard process control guidelines
  • Ensure all orders leave your department on time
  • Maintain all shop equipment and report any failures or problems to your supervisor immediately
  • Martin will provide through training with an opportunity to further develop your skills in other departments
  • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday
  • Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (we are currently working overtime, leaving at 5:00 PM)

Skills/Experience:


  • Machine shop experience or mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with grinding tools and drill press a plus
  • Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
  • Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components
  • Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials with general mechanical knowledge
  • Work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
  • Consistently stand for an entire shift
