CNC Machine Service Technician
The Opportunity
The Machine Service Technician ensures all CNC equipment and support equipment is in good operation to produce parts to RAD's quality standards.
They will work with the Lead Machine Service Technician on ensuring all maintenance is completed as per the schedule created with production.
Once trained, they will be responsible for ensuring repairs are also conducted as directed by the lead.Hours of work:
Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour days, 40 hours per week.
7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Starting at $25/hour
The Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is maintained and preventative maintenance program has been implemented. Machines are performing adequately to meet the tolerance specifications on the drawings.
- Ensures all daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance of CNC equipment and support equipment is performed as per schedule.
- Review inventory of spare parts to ensure lead times are mínimal for equipment down time, as directed by Lead Machine Service Technician.
- Ensures that machines in repair are safe (locked out / secure) and area is clean.
- Ensure all MSDS sheets are documented for all products used on the shop floor.
- Travel to other production facility for maintenance of additional machinery using company vehicle.
- Operate forklift as needed.
The Qualifications
- Post-Secondary training in CNC Machine Operation / Maintenance / preventative maintenance is considered an asset.
- Familiar with Okuma / Hass Machines an asset.
- 23 years in a manufacturing CNC environment with machine operation / Maintenance Inspection.
- Experience in general safety /MSDS / Lockout Procedures.
- Must speak and read English proficiently.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication.
- Mechanical aptitude.
