    Delivery Helper

    JOB DETAILS:

    Pay rate: $20.90/hr to start

    Hours : 6:15 AM start

    Shift: Monday to Friday

    Immediate Supervisor : Operations Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES :
    Prepares, loads, and unloads the trucks manually and/or using equipment supplied by the Company.
    Stacks, places, and covers merchandise carefully on the trucks to avoid damage during transportation.
    Verifies the equipment for safety and secures merchandise with straps, ropes, corner guards, tarpaulins, and other equipment.
    Follows the Drivers instructions.
    Prepares the openings and the floor location for the proper placement of materials.
    Always follows Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
    Other duties as assigned.
    Health and Safety Training will be provided.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    PPE: hard hat, safety boots, safety vest/jacket including other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed when exiting the truck cab.
    Follow the Act and regulations applicable when on jobsite locations.
    High School Diploma or GED
    Previous experience in heavy lifting is an asset.
    Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
    Problem solving.
    Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Strength (lift, carry, push and pull); Maximum lift, 100 lbs.; Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
    Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with manual dexterity
    Bend, stoop, or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
    Trunk rotation with 20 lbs. at arm's length 180 degrees from side to side.
    Reach overhead to grasp materials.
    Must be able to work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.

    CERTIFICATION AND LICENSING:
    Valid WHMIS Certification, (If none, training will be provided)
    Working at Heights MOL issued certification, (If none, training will be provided)
