Technical Support Specialist - Vernon, Canada - Watts Water Technologies
Description
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Assist representatives, wholesalers, contractors, & homeowners with technical support and troubleshooting of basic controls in residential & commercial systems
- Log pertinent case details including contact information, names, and inquiry details
- Assist the customer in basic product selection based on the customers' needs
- Troubleshoot connected controls, including those that interface with Wi-Fi networks
- Provide necessary literature and product information to customers
- Follow corporate best practices and proper legal procedures
- Develop resources & processes to assist the department to achieve goals & execute strategy
- Other related projects / tasks as assigned by the manager
EDUCATION:
High School diploma required.
Diploma or bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, or plumbing/HVAC related field preferred in combination with at least two years of applicable work experience in a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years of applicable work experience or education in a related field
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to mitigate customer issues with poise and confidence
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and varying call volumes
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professionalism, working with integrity, and treating people with respect
- Other demands include but not limited to; oral, written, and presentation/communications skills
