Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working the weekend respite, including overnight shift at a residential home approximately 24 weekends a month
- Working within a residential setting with adults with developmental disabilities, mental health struggles
- Administer medication
- Complete daily tasks and activities of living
- Manage behaviours and diffuse situations as needed
- Provide a safe and caring home environment
- Accompany on outings
- Follow protocols created by clinical teams
- Daily documentation
- Report to residential manager
Requirements:
- Criminal Record Check, with Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid and CPR
- Valid G License
**Open to University students of Psychology, Behaviour Therapy and Social Work
**Experience an asset
**Experience/knowledge of Indigenous Persons an asset
**Experience working with mental health and addictions an asset
**French an asset
