The Machine Operator will be solely responsible for operating the Evisceration machinery during/before and after production. The Machine Operator will support the Evisceration Team so they can achieve their goals for quality and productivity. Implementation of new equipment has created a need for a machine operator in our poultry production plant. The position is full time - 40 hours per week + overtime.

Responsibilities

Operate the evisceration machines during the production time
Set up of machines and ensure they are working properly
Adjust the machines for line speed and various species
Assist in line change and additional set up for line swap
Maintaining the machines by replacing blades, knives and operating to standards
Troubleshoot equipment on the production floor in the event of a breakdown
Work alongside maintenance crew of electricians, millwrights, and engineers to perform routine maintenance
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
General cleanup of working area to help maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

Some knowledge of plant equipment, proper maintenance procedures and principles of operation
Ability to study and understand operating and maintenance manuals, mechanical ability.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and users of equipment
Basic skill in the use and care of tools, machinery, and equipment of the electrical and mechanical trades
