JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for, but not limited to,
overseeing all aspects of maintenance and P.M. programs for plant and facilities to ensure optimal
performance.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing the activities of the Maintenance and Facilities Staff in the Cambridge
- Ensures maintenance supervisors and their employees comply with all Plant Health and Safety
company policies and procedures.
- Develops employees by ensuring that they receive training in the areas of quality, equipment,

- Responsible for maintaining Quality Procedures and Instructions within the department.

- Manages the activities of the Maintenance and Facilities departments, setting and communicating
minimize interruption to production and shipping schedules and ensure our customers are
protected.
- Monitors and schedules in conjunction with maintenance supervisor(s) all P.M. work.
- Monitors and reviews departmental results and data.
- Performs unplanned general inspections focusing on efficiency/utilization, health & safety,
- Responsible for all maintenance related downtime.
- Responsible for all maintenance and facilities improvement projects.
- Authorizes and/ or initiates maintenance and facilities related purchase orders.
- Responsible to oversee the function of the tool crib including inventory level and flow.
- Coordinates major maintenance and facility projects, including the procurement and
within the budget.
- Coordinates all shutdown work.
- Attend meetings with plant management to discuss and review plant performance measures,
- Responsible for responding to grievances which reach second step.
- Ensure the standards of Section 27 of the OHSA are met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Industrial Millwright/Mechanic trade certification or Industrial Electrician trade certification or other relevant postsecondary Technical Education and training.
- Solid background in industrial maintenance involving electrical, hydraulic and mechanical processes.
- Familiar with automatic production equipment, robotics, PLC's and press shop operations would be an asset.
- Ideally have three or more year's related Maintenance supervisory or Managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to operate PC (Microsoft) based and other manufacturing related software.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and experience in administering collective agreements would be an asset.
