Operations Manager

Job Summary:


The Operations Manager follows direction from the Inventory Operations Manager, works well with fellow employees, interacts appropriately with the public, completes all tasks quickly and safely, is service oriented and appropriately interacts with the purchaser and technicians.


Responsibilities:


  • Inventory Optimization:
  • Strategically manage and optimize inventory levels within NetSuite.
  • Implement advanced inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Analyze data to forecast inventory needs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Shipping and Receiving Leadership:
  • Lead and optimize shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to streamline shipping operations and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement best practices for the safe handling and storage of goods.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and service teams to prioritize and fulfill customer orders.
  • Coordinate with procurement to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Building Maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with onsite managers to address building maintenance needs.
  • Liaise with external vendors for services such as pest control, HVAC maintenance, cleaning, lawn care, and snow removal.
  • Ensure a safe and wellmaintained working environment for all employees.
  • Team Management:
  • Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations of direct report.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that promotes teamwork and accountability.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
  • Regularly evaluate and update warehouse processes to align with industry best practices
  • Drive innovation in logistics and warehouse management practices
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Inventory Operations Manager.

Job Qualifications:


  • Detail oriented, capable of managing and advancing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Problemsolving capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally in a professional manner
  • Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures and logistics management
  • Aptitude to learn software systems used by Profire to perform assigned duties.
