ROLE OVERVIEW:_

IMS is currently looking to have a part time, Front Desk Receptionist join our team.

This person will assist in the day to day activities involved to successfully run the front office area on a daily basis.

The Receptionist is responsible for representing IMS as a first point of contact either by phone or in person. They will be responsible for managing the day to day duties of THE reception area. IMS is continuously looking to build its team with dynamic, dedicated, knowledgeable team members. KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:_

As the Receptionist you must;

  • Possess a friendly, positive, cando personality
  • Have a professional personal presentation
  • Have excellent phone etiquette skills that present as calm and kind
  • Have strong organizational skills, be detailed and able to multitask with ease
  • Be proactive outside of the normal reception duties and take initiative to assist where needed
  • Possess basic to Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and Power point (training provided for Power Point if needed)
  • Have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Keep the supplies room organized and tidy, as well as the kitchen, reception area and boardroom on a daily basis
  • Experience is considered an asset but we are willing to train the right individual who has a desire to learn

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:_


Our Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring that customers, vendors, couriers and staff are greeted warmly, whether in person or on the phone.

The Successful Receptionist will be to handle the multiple tasks assigned to them as part of their job responsibilities. Below are some key responsibilities for the role;

  • Greet customers and vendors upon arrival to facility
  • Answer and screen incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Handle mail distribution, both incoming and outgoing
  • Manage and order office supplies for standard weekly orders and special requests
  • Arrange couriers, deliveries and pickups and office luncheons when needed
  • Manage and organize supplies room and social club storage area
  • Manage Power Point details for reception TV
  • General cleanliness of reception area, kitchen area, boardroom, recycling, coffee/water station
  • Assist Sr. Office Manager as needed with distribution of various signage, and other paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

COMPENSATION:_


Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 9:00am - 2;30pm


Salary:
This position is an hourly position with starting pay at $19.00 per hour.


Vacation: 2 weeks (50 hours) vacation per year based on a 25 hour work week


Christmas Shutdown:
an additional week of paid holiday time during Christmas shutdown each year.


Birthday:
Paid day off each year for your birthday.
