About the Role:


The Strategic Planner is the primary support for day-to-day requests on strategic needs and is responsible for leading strategic initiatives for clients/brands.

This role is a key internal support for both Account Services and Creative to raise the overall quality of our deliverables, communications, and creative output.

The Strategic Planner leverages industry knowledge to provide critical insights and will deliver compelling research, ideas and strategic recommendations for positioning a client's business/products.


What You'll Do

  • Identify, gather, and analyze information from various sources to understand consumer behaviour and market trends
  • Strategize and architect gotomarket plans for a diverse portfolio of brands across the Canadian market and guide agency teams during definitionbriefdesign and development phases
  • Lead strategic workshops internally with clients and their crossfunctional teams to frame and collaborate in developing brand strategies and tactical planning
  • Strategize and architect engagement plan for a diverse portfolio of brands
  • Partner with internal teams to distill insights and build comprehensive strategies that include customer journeys, mapping messaging, tactics, and campaign blueprints
  • Review and audit established plans to help understand the gaps and opportunities in a multichannel marketing system
  • Support Senior Strategic Planner in providing internal consulting (agency + client) when crafting channelspecific recommendations (e.g., best practices, emerging trends)

What You'll Need

  • Customerfirst mindset, knowledge of data & statistical analytic methods and principles
  • Sound marketing knowledge, experience, and business principles involved in marketing and strategic planning
  • Strong written and presentation skills, business acumen, an inherent curiosity and desire to know the truth and strong time management skills
  • Proactive, with excellent collaboration and an ability to identify opportunities across brands, campaigns, and markets
  • A high degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • Professional analytics experience (Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics, social media analytic tools such as Hootsuite or Brandwatch, custom dashboards experience attribution/ ecommerce)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience collecting consumer socio/psycho/demo/behaviour graphic information from principal research methods and secondary data collection
  • Understanding of social media marketing (earned and paid) and SEM/PPC/CPM
  • Experience doing social listening (preferably Crimson Hexagon or Sysomos MAP)
  • Understanding industry market conditions and trends: pharma, healthcare, and/or wellness
