- Operate or tend automatic or multipurpose machines to produce metal parts and metal products
- Clean, polish, file or otherwise finish products
- Check products for quality and other specifications
- Clean work area
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Fit and assemble components using hand and power tools
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
