RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Under the supervision of Dr.

Matthias Friedrich, the incumbent is expected to supervise research and oversee the quality of the MRI Core Lab related to neurovascular and related research topics.

This includes procurement of suitable software and integration of novel analysis technology based on artificial intelligence.

General Duties

  • Assist in identifying national and international funding opportunities for neurovascular research that could be performed with data from the CVSP participants,
  • Conceptualize, draft, write and edit internal and external research proposals,
  • Liaise with funding sources and partners related to neurovascular research topics,
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with funding agencies and partners related to neurovascular research.

Education / Experience


Education:
Post doctoral Studies


Field of Study:


  • Ph.
D. or M.D,

  • Documented experience in quantitative neuroimaging,
  • At least 2 years' experience in research and/or a strong publication record,
  • Experience with different data modalities (images, sequences, graphs, etc.),
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to think strategically yet work with a focus on detail and efficiency,
  • Good electronic communications and time management skills,
  • Strong knowledge of computers, accessing and navigating webbased systems.

Other education considered an asset for this position:

  • Knowledge in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Status:
Temporary Part-Time, 10-15 hours per week


Pay Scale:
$74, $138,283.60 / year, $ $75.98/hour, commensurate with education & work experience
