The Opportunity
The Bruce Oake Recovery Centre is a 50 bed residential treatment Centre. We are now recruiting an Assistant Maintenance Worker. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact and support successful life transformations of individuals experiencing addiction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Maintenance Worker in ensuring that work orders and maintenance tasks are responded to in a timely manner.
- Assist in regularly inspects, repairs and performs preventative maintenance of equipment and facility
- Supports the Maintenance Worker in the overall cleanliness of interior and exterior of the building. Clients will be responsible for some chores however areas that are not cleaned or maintained by staff will be the responsibility of the maintenance worker.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies, paper and sanitization stations are maintained and stocked.
- Sanitation and ensure to follow standards and regulations for the entire centre.
- Support RSW and Counselling team to provide transportation (if extra support is required) by driving the agency vehicle to take clients to meetings and appointments.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
- Experience in cleaning and general maintenance.
- Ability to lift 40lbs
Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary:
$15.00 per hour
