Backwoods Energy is seeking Highly Experienced Class 1 Drivers with Super-B experience in the Nisku, AB surrounding areas.

Wage:
$ $45.00 / Hour


Shifts:
Hours, up to 6-7 shifts / Week


The Role:


The role of Class 1 Driver contributes to team success by providing trucking and transportation support of access mats to client locations in northwestern Alberta.


  • Safe operation of equipment
  • Conducting routine pre/posttrip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of count sheets and incident reporting
  • Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
  • Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over rural routes
  • Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices
  • Following health and safety and safe work procedures
  • Completing all daily paperwork including but not limited to Safety Paperwork, BOL's, MTS's etc.
  • All other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:


  • Experience operating
    Super-Bee setups:
  • Min 2 years of experience operating equipment preferably matting haul experience
  • Hours of Service, Load Securement and Pre-Trip Inspection experience considered an asset
  • Physically fit and able to repeatedly get in/out of equipment and secure loads
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
  • Previous professional driving experience is required
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions

Training and Certifications Required:


  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstract
  • Hours of Service Training Certificate (required)
  • Load Securement Training Certificate (required)
  • Pre-Trip Inspection Training Certificate (required)
  • Standard First Aid with CPR (required)
  • CSTS 2020 (required)
  • Ground Disturbance Level II (required)
  • H2S Alive (an asset)

$38.00-$45.00 per hour

  • Day shift
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nisku, AB T9E 0G6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Class 1: 2 years (required)
