Job Summary
The primary role of the equipment manager is to provide our network with equipment hardware, systems, and programs that promote high-quality patient care while minimizing or removing equipment downtime.
The equipment manager will communicate directly with our suppliers and our IRIS clinics (managers, doctors, and partners) and consult with them to purchase, service, and repair diagnostic, optometric, and optical equipment.
Working together as a team, IRIS will provide all necessary tools, software, and training required to successfully accomplish the role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support optical equipment infrastructure, focusing on LNL and G&S banners.
- Manage online ticketing, inventory, and reporting systems for optical equipment.
- Coordinate with optical store personnel on equipment requests.
- Coordinate equipment purchases and repairs with vendors.
- Track expenses and assist with budgeting.
- Assist with equipment projects and special programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn.
- Database familiarity (e.g., Excel)
- Maintain knowledge (asset).
- Optical retail experience (asset)
- Logistics experience (asset)
- Strong communication skills.
- Bilingual proficiency (French is critical, English is beneficial for team communication)
