The Copper River Inn is looking for a professional and outgoing individual to provide exceptional customer service as Front Desk Associate.

The front desk operates 24/7; currently an individual is required for 11pm-7am. Part-time and casual hours are available.

  • Main Responsibilities_
  • Greet guests with an upbeat attitude, and foster positive relationships between guests and hotel
  • Help drive sales by learning about the hotel's amenities and "selling" the hotel to guests and potential guests
  • Listen to guest feedback, and determine solutions or report to the Management team as needed
  • Process transactions (cash, credit or debit card), and provide change as needed
  • Be responsible for the sale of confectionary items (including alcoholic beverages)
  • Will have basic mathematical skills, and be able to reconcile at the end of shifts
  • Will possess a knowledge of Fort France and the surrounding area, and be able to make recommendations to guests
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and the management team to ensure that information is properly relayed
  • Additional Requirements_

  • Computer skills, with attention to detail to ensure that information is properly recorded
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to follow direction and read written instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Must be reliable with exemplary attendance at previous jobs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Fluency in a second language will be considered an asset
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Smart Serve certification is an asset

  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
