The Building Services Administrative Manager assists the Director of Building Services in certain administrative files, in particular those concerning external rentals, formatting and research for technical estimates, price requests and DMA for the department, management of the department's budget and customer service, as well as strategic follow-up.


  • FUNCTIONS
  • Under the authority of the Director of Building Services, the incumbent holding the position of administrative manager performs the following duties

For the College:


  • Collaborates in the development of the strategic plan;
  • Represents the employer on one or more of the existing committees in the organization, in particular on the Labor Relations, Grievances, Development and Occupational Health and Safety committees;
  • Represents the organization with external institutions or bodies.
  • Receive project requests from different departments and act as the first filter to align these requests with the college's strategic plan.

More specifically for Building Services

  • Development of the CEGEP rental component.
  • Assigns internally and rents certain college premises externally: classrooms, meeting rooms, projection rooms, outdoor facilities, etc.
  • Develops various protocols or leases for the rental of goods or services and sees that they are respected.
  • Collaborates in the implementation of regulations, policies, programs, and the work plan.
  • Applies laws, regulations, policies, and directives.
  • Ensures monitoring and innovates in its sector of activity.
  • Ensures the continuous improvement and quality of the processes and services under his responsibility, in particular by developing management tools.
  • Performs inherent accountability for their responsibilities.
  • Establishes budget forecasts that take into account the need for selffinancing and administers the budget in this same perspective.
  • Decides on the programming of activities.
  • Maintains regular contact with users or establishes contact with potential clients to find out their needs and offer them available services.
  • Performs all other related duties, as required.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education and Experience

  • Hold a bachelor's degree with a specialization related to the position and have three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English (written, spoken and comprehension) are required.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in the use of technology in a Windows environment with software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
