Operational Readiness is an important component of project development working closely with both project and operational teams to support the safe and effective transition of a project to an operating facility that sustainably meets performance objectives.


The role will be required to lead and guide multidisciplinary teams and manage third party contracts for plan development and execution.

Collaboration, the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic and evolving environment. The ability to listen to and integrate different perspectives of project, commissioning, operations and maintenance organizations is critical.

Responsibilities:


  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Responsible for the development of project specific operational readiness plans consistent with project delivery stage requirements to ensure projects are ready for operations
  • Coordinate and participate in project design reviews, risk management activities, operating and capital cost estimates, and equipment and vendor selection
  • Integrate and develop standard processes and methodology in alignment with business strategies, standards, and technology including Change Management, Operations Management and Operating Systems, Asset Management, and Continuous Improvement
  • Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary workshops
  • Implement operational readiness plans and associated project management

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • 10+ years in operations, maintenance, project management, or a similar role. Operational readiness experience is preferable
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire crossfunctional teams
  • Effective change management skills, with demonstrated experience driving behavior change
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on proactive risk assessment and mitigation
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including highly developed facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Solid understanding of operations and maintenance processes and systems as well as project management experience is important, preferably with exposure to large project delivery
  • Spanish language skill would be an asset
  • Periodic travel will be required including international travel; frequency and duration will vary depending on project requirements

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $160,000
