Position:
Inventory Manager

The Inventory Manager will lead the Inventory Department and controls to achieve business performance objectives.

This role will be responsible for defining and implementing inventory policies, targets and processes to manage inventory workflows across the organization.

The Inventory Manager will be accountable for training and development of the inventory team, devising best practices for maintaining balanced and accurate inventory records, ensuring effective space utilization, investigating root causes for any discrepancies that arise and accountable for continuous improvement and driving change through KPI's.

The Inventory Manager will report directly to the President.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:_

  • Design, implement and maintain an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders on inventory related matters, including frequently reporting on inventory evaluation analysis and recommendations, highlighting any areas of concern.
  • Develop, manage and execute crossfunctional process improvement projects for challenges and opportunities that impact inventory management best practices, processes, and metrics.
  • Develop and oversee the client complaint program, including investigating discrepancies and performing adjustments while working with account services and clients.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports through training and development opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, product levels, and adjustments for locations.
  • Drive change in operational efficiencies to support longterm business growth.
  • Make recommendations to leadership about improvements in inventory cycle.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through planning and conducting the daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly inventory count for all locations of facilities.
  • Optimize inventory controls and locations for both inbound and outbound operation.
  • Maintain and update inventory records.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:_

  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, inventory management and forecasting techniques.
  • Has excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a positive approach to client relations.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office programs and Footprint and/or other WMS systems.
  • Extensive experience in professional communications both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and create recommendations.
  • Possess an analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Experience operating a pallet jack, reach and forklift and able to lift over 50lbs.

Description of work conditions:_

  • Temperatures between 2°c and 4°c (on dock)
  • Temperatures between 20°c and 35°c with some wind chill when the fans are running. (when going in and out of freezer)
  • Can be a very congested and fast paced environment
