(HFS) is a thriving second-generation family business based in Stratford, Ontario, with a rich history dating back to May 1981.

Operating from a well-equipped 15,000 square foot facility, HFS specializes in heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs, serving both fleet customers and individual clients.

With expertise in addressing a wide range of issues, from engine diagnostics and transmissions to electrical systems, suspensions, truck and trailer alignments, commercial MTO safety inspections, and heavy-duty emissions testing, HFS is a one-stop solution for heavy-duty equipment needs.

We are also a Navistar sub-contractor, authorized Cummins dealer for most models and Hiab service provider.


Currently seeking to expand our team, HFS is on the lookout for an experienced Service Advisor.

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Roles and responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:


Customer Service:


  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, both inperson and over the phone.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assessing their needs and providing appropriate recommendations for services.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, providing accurate information about services, pricing, and scheduling.

Service Coordination

  • Schedule appointments for maintenance and repair services, coordinating with customers and technicians to ensure timely completion.
  • Create and maintain service orders, documenting customer requests, service details, and billing information accurately.
  • Prepare quotes to customers for service work and other projects.
  • Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicles, including updates on repairs, estimated completion times, and any additional services required.

Technical Knowledge

  • Possess a strong understanding of engines, hydraulics, suspension, brake systems, electrical systems, fabrication and upfitting.
  • Consult with our technicians to accurately assess customer needs and provide informed recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in truck and trailer servicing.

Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, quotes and billing information using computerized systems or software.
  • Process payments for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management, including sourcing parts and supplies for quoting as needed.
  • Process OEM warranty claims.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct quality checks on completed services orders to ensure work meets established standards of safety and quality.
  • Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, working to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technicians and management to implement improvements in service processes and procedures.

What we're looking for:


  • Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry, preferably with a focus on heavyduty trucks and trailers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of truck and trailer systems, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills preferred.
  • Good math skills.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean abstract.
