Job description
The role of a Bookkeeper is to enter a company's financial information into a general ledger using software specific to the accounting and financial industry.
- Enter data, maintain records, create reports and account financial statements using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Track and verify transactions recorded in the general ledgers and prepare related financial statements.
- Perform partial checks of the posting of journal entries and reconcile accounts.
- Process accounts receivable/payable, handle and prepare cheques for vendors as well as for utility, tax and other bills in a timely manner.
- Calculate and prepare tax remittance forms, tax payments, workers compensations forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
- Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services.
- Record and prepare day to day statistical, financial and accounting transactions.
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary:
$20.00-$24.00 per hour
