    As an Electrical Technician, you will provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment. Provide coaching and guidance to other staff to heighten their abilities . A role model and a team player, who demonstrates organizational commitment and awareness.     Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the safety, availability, and reliability of the Power supply and Distribution (PS&D)System including the power substation equipment, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), cabling, OCS, "Blue Light Stations" (BLS), and Tunnel Lighting
  • Access to vehicles, tracks, spares, materials, tools, equipment, training, manuals, and procedures for the PS&D maintenance
  • Recommending and implementing techniques and procedures that ensure maintenance to the PS&D System is conducted safely, reliably, efficiently
  • Diagnosis and rectification of failures and emergency incidents within established guidelines
  • The PDS technician supports a 7-day week rail operation, working rotating shifts, on a continuous seven-day cycle performing all technical work related to TPS maintenance
  • Adherence to the Custodial, Preventative, and Rehabilitation Maintenance schedules
  • Inspects, tests, and repairs internal distribution cables and electrical substation equipment
  • Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs on traction power voltage, monitoring systems, charging systems, circuit breakers, and other TPS components
  • Troubleshoot, analyze and isolate malfunctions, inspect, test, modify and maintain traction power voltage, monitoring systems, charging systems, circuit breakers, and other TPS components
  • Performs complex repair troubleshooting; safely using and maintaining hand and power tools and test equipment related to work
