Description
This role comes with the expectations of the individual being well versed in supplier/vendor negotiations and cost analysis.

This is a role for someone who is highly skilled in multi-tasking and working proactively in a fast paced environment.


Purchasing Manager:

  • Generate purchase orders and submit to vendors
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Analyze inventory reports
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
  • Arrange shipping of products from within Canada, USA and overseas
  • Communicate with vendors to review new products
  • Source new products within Canada, USA and overseas
  • Receive inventory in Business Vision, incorporating exchange rates, duty and shipping costs
  • Monitor landed costs to ensure profitability
  • Work with vendors to trouble shoot any product shortages, defects or warranties
  • Oversee yearend inventory; monitor counting and adjust inventory levels in Business Vision
