This role comes with the expectations of the individual being well versed in supplier/vendor negotiations and cost analysis.This is a role for someone who is highly skilled in multi-tasking and working proactively in a fast paced environment.
Purchasing Manager:
- Generate purchase orders and submit to vendors
- Monitor inventory levels
- Analyze inventory reports
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
- Arrange shipping of products from within Canada, USA and overseas
- Communicate with vendors to review new products
- Source new products within Canada, USA and overseas
- Receive inventory in Business Vision, incorporating exchange rates, duty and shipping costs
- Monitor landed costs to ensure profitability
- Work with vendors to trouble shoot any product shortages, defects or warranties
- Oversee yearend inventory; monitor counting and adjust inventory levels in Business Vision
