Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in the
Pipeline Commercial Analytics & Reporting Analyst role will report to the Lead Analyst in Pipeline Commercial Analytics & Reporting.

The Analyst will be responsible for providing the Pipeline Commercial team and Senior Management with professional, accurate, and well communicated reporting and analysis on organic growth projects.


Key Activities and Responsibilities:


  • Provide insightful analysis for the ongoing development of Inter Pipeline's Conventional and Long Haul transportation assets
  • Collect and compile information for annual capital budget setting, 5year Plan, and Strategic Roadmap
  • Assist in reporting preparation for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Maintain commercial scorecards to monitor ongoing performance
  • Manage financial models for smallscale capital projects
  • Perform due diligence for lookback analysis on inservice projects
  • Conduct research and extract relevant information using a variety of sources
  • Develop and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships (Major Projects, Operations Engineering, Finance, FP&A, Project Controls, Tax and others)
  • Adhoc analysis of transportation development risks and opportunities

Education, Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or Engineering
  • Pursuance of CFA or CBV designation is an asset
years of oil and gas experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills is preferred along with proficiency in the rest of the MS Office suite of products

  • Experience analyzing large sets of complex data is preferred
  • Financial modeling experience is an asset
  • SAP and PBI experience nice to have
  • Exceptionally high level of focus on quality of work and attention to detail is required
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate financial and business analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong team orientation balanced with the ability to work autonomously on multiple projects and initiatives
  • Must be able to work well in a fastpaced growth environment

Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week
