Position Summary:


This role operates as part of the college's Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) & Experiential Education (EE) Team and will work across all academic and administrative areas of the college.

The position reports directly to the Director, Student Engagement and Career Success.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Convenes WIL systems advisory group representing all academic divisions (WIL practitioners) to seek input and facilitate processes, develop guidelines, and provide a consistent and enhanced student and industry partner experience.
  • Participates in relevant internal and external committees to ensure that the systems used for both full and parttime students are current and relevant.
  • Collects and organizes WIL and Experiential data from the system, creating analytical reports and presentations to the EL Project Manager.
  • Works with ITS, Registrar's Office and software providers, as required, in order to accomplish and implement any future changes in the Portal, as well as to correct issues that span both front and backend systems.
  • Analyzes issues and clearly articulates business needs; accountable for system development, enhancement and support for the Experiential Education Portal.
  • Proactively identifies collegewide issues and proposes solutions in writing to supervisor for review and distribution.
  • Acts as the project team leader in the development and integration of new, or redesigned business processes and procedures related to the Experiential Learning Portal to ensure that business process changes are aligned with WIL & EL strategies and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:


  • Threeyear Diploma or degree from a recognized postsecondary institution preferably in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience required with at least two years of training or teaching experience with demonstrated experience in creating training/teaching materials and providing training in oneonone and group environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of user engagement, consultation and needs facilitation processes to assist with project design, combined with expert knowledge of the project management life cycle process to manage multiple, multifaceted projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures relating to Workintegrated Learning, Experiential Learning and postsecondary education requirements and practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of effective conflict resolution, facilitation, and problemsolving techniques, with the ability to handle competing priorities. Experience in the coordination of crossfunctional teams is required.

Skills and Attributes:


  • Demonstrated experience in providing software technical support for a CRM / enterprise system.
  • Demonstrated leadership in delivering excellent service to others as this is key in supporting the success of our students and our College.
  • Demonstrated excellent client focus skills, with a commitment to quality; while nurturing internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to operate as a Subject Matter Expert for services provided, operating as part of the College's WIL and EE team.
  • Expert at analyzing data and generating strategic reports and presentations.
  • Ability to provide clear, userfriendly, and informative guidance and assistance to others, including Business Users.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, negotiating, and time management skills is essential.
  • Travel between campuses is required.
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
