Description
We are looking for a Business Development Manager at our Canada branch.As the Business Development Specialist for the assigned airfreight market, your primary responsibilities include:
Strategically drive business development efforts to achieve sales budgets and ensure the successful collection of freight charges.
Cultivate relationships with potential customers, expanding your network within the industry.
Lead Generation:
Generate business leads through proactive outreach, including cold calls, emails, and on-site visits, converting leads into sales opportunities.
Market Analysis:
Analyze market trends and industrial requirements, translating insights into effective communication of rates and action plans for customers and the management team
Relationship Building:
Build enduring, trust-based relationships with clients and actively seek new business opportunities within the market.
Sales Reporting:
Set up budgets and sales targets, reporting weekly activities and pipeline status to the branch manager, with a focus on achieving sales results
Credit Management:
Establish terms and credit agreements with new customers and ensure timely payment collection in line with agreed terms
Adaptability:
Undertake other sales-related tasks as assigned by management, showcasing a flexible and solution-oriented approach.
A minimum of 5 years of cargo sales experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
Education:
A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Language Skills:
Fluent in English, with proficiency in other languages is considered an asset
Driving License:
A valid driving license is required.
