The Anko Global team is a newly created team that manages the distribution of Anko product outside Australia and New Zealand and is directly supported by design, merchandise, sourcing and supply chain teams in Australia, India and China.

You will be joining a team of passionate collaborators with an entrepreneurial mindset that are determined to drive rapid growth for the Anko Global business across Canada.

This team are passionate about Anko products and partner strongly with the retailers they wholesale to.


What you'll be doing:


  • Reporting to the VP Strategic Account Manager, this role will serve as the merchandise support for the wholesale business in Canada.
  • You will be responsible for delivering and showcasing the range of Anko product to the retail partner HBC/Zellers
  • You will also be responsible for helping to scale the growth and productivity of that chosen range for the Canadian market.
  • Working directly with the retail partner to determine new opportunities within the Anko product range, by analysing sales and product performance, actively shopping the local market, building product ranges and helping to finalize the buys with the retail partner.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Three to five years business development and merchandise experience in Canada, with a proven record of driving growth for the categories you have worked on across Apparel and General Merchandise, in particular, home categories.
  • The ability to work with uncertainty, be adaptable and open to change as we build the Anko Global business across Canada.
  • An enthusiastic approach to grow the Anko Global business and be comfortable working on multiple conflicting priorities at a fast pace.
  • A growth mindset and the ability to be an excellent communicator and negotiator.
  • Strong capability to work collaboratively and build rapport and relationships quickly, with internal stakeholders and external retail partners.
