As Millwright your role is to provide mechanical equipment maintenance service and support to Pilot and Innovation Plant operations.Your primary focus will be to assist Plant operations by maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment including motors, pumps, valves, evaporators, fans and other related equipment.
Ensure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy.Carry out preventive and condition-based maintenance equipment with a focus on mechanical process maintenance.
Collaborate with the Operations Engineering Team in designing and planning of plant modifications.
Lead the mechanical installation of new equipment and provide support during commissioning of new equipment.
Participate in maintenance program reviews updating tasks and schedules for maintenance on mechanical equipment and other plant hardware.
Support critical lift tasks related to crane lifts and relevant activities.
Carry out fabrication, welding and pipe fitting work as required in support of engineered changes.
Provide specialist maintenance input to plant design reviews at all lifecycle stages.
Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mechanical maintenance tasks.
Provide specialist support to Engineering and Operations in the development of new equipment layout and installation.
Foster and maintain a positive culture within the Maintenance Team by promoting effective teamwork.
Mentor junior maintenance staff and other employees to foster a safe workplace and teach best practices associated with mechanical maintenance.
Carry out site tours as required for third party inspections and certifications of equipment as required5+ years maintenance experience following Red Seal certification, preferably in an industrial/chemical production environment.
Experience commissioning industrial facilities is highly desired.
Forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift Certification is an asset.
Confined Space Entry/Rescue Certification is an asset.
Min Level 1 first aid certification required; Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, act as a subject matter expert, and provide technical insight to a range of stakeholders.
