Role:
Junior Project Manager

Location:
Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 8+ months (with possible extension)

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in IT project management
  • Experience with Radio technology projects
  • Experience in Public safety especially in a dispatch environment (Ambulance, Fire, Police)
  • Experience with project managing in a public sector and politically sensitive organizations

CRITERIA (100 MAX)
Criteria - Project Management and Coordination Skills 45 points

  • Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining detailed schedules in MS Project, ensuring activities are tracked to completion.
  • Experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item tracking & followups.
  • Experience working independently and with both the business and technology teams.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Criteria - Communication and Relationship Management 30 points

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts such as risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status reports, presentations, project communications, and meeting minutes.
  • Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders
  • Exceptional facilitation, negotiation, and consultative skills.
Criteria - Analytical and Problem Solving skills 25 points

  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Experience gathering data, performing analysis and building reports to support decisionmaking on project scope, schedule, cost data
  • Experience reviewing and ensuring submitted documentation is complete and accurate.
  • A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlines

$55.00-$60.00 per hour
